A few of you may remember my "Windows question" thread earlier. Well, I've now upgraded to Windows 2000 Pro and despite having 128megs RAM, the comp is running MUCH better than it was when it had Win98.
Next, how many CDs does Warcraft 3 have?

Here's a windows question. Right now I'm on my parents computer. I prolly need to look into it more but here it goes. This thing runs Windows XP, home edition I would guess, came standard. Damn thing locks up all the time. I thought at first it was the screen saver, because that's usually when I catch it doing it. However seems to lock up just whenever. i don't think it's any of the programs. Someone my mom had talked to mentioned the mouse could be causing it. Though that would seem odd, since it was doing this before I bought them a new mouse for it. For the one it's running now is a Microsoft Intellipoint. If anyone has any suggestions of what to look for, it would be much appreciated.

The lockups: when an application lockups r-click the task bar and select task manager (same as ctrl-alt-del) and choose the application tab. is any application set as not responding?
You might vant to click the process tab and see if any process is using tons of cpu or memory.
Note it is normal for the System Idle Process to use 80-99% cpu time. pm me for more help if you need it.
