I literally went through the holocaust museum in DC with a coke in
one hand and watching the way cool Nazi propagada films they were
showing there, while thinking "Stupid fucktards never fought back..."

Go ask some fucktard about the Sonderkommando at Auschwitz.

The Nazis used Jews to run the crematoriums, and they could have
stopped the extermination at any point they wanted to, but the jews
running the crematoriums only revolted when they learned that
Auschwitz was closing down....and that they would then be liquidated.

So, while the fact that they burned the bodies of millions of their fellow
jews wasn't enough to make them revolt, the fact that they were to
be killed finally made them revolt, and they blew up Crematoria IV,
killing 11 SS mann.

who ran the crematoriums were fucking JEWS, and they happily torched
the dead bodies of their own people in exchange for their lives, and they
only revolted when they were going to be killed.

I find it quite interesting that the section on resistance to the holocaust
at the museum is one teeny tiny section showing trees from a forest
and a DEWAT PPSh-41 SMG.

One of the studies I was looking at was a study that examined obedience to authority figures. They set up a subject in a room with a teacher figure, who would give questions to a learner in another room. Every time the learner got a question wrong, the teacher would ask the study subject to administer what the subject thought was a brief electric shock. With each wrong answer, the voltage increased a little bit. Something like 60% of the participants were willing to go to the highest level of voltage at the prodding of the teacher, despite the protests of the learner getting zapped. Nobody expected so many subjects to be willing to go that far....

The learner was not really getting zapped, just play acting, so you know.

Yeah, I know of those. I forget the name of the guy, but there was another
study, done by uni students in the 70s or something, in which a simulated
prison was done by paid volunteers, and it rapidly degenerated into
a pile of shit, so the researchers had to call it off out of fear for the
safety of the participants. I'll try and find a link to it when I get home
for you

Yeah, that was another thing I took a look at. The prisoners and the guards broke down into their steryotipical roles so well and so drastically the experiment began to resemble a real prison.

The one thing that really stuck in my craw about the Holocaust Museum
was the way they ingnored the fact that the Germans destroyed over
600+ villages in Byelorussia (now modern day Belarus) alone, along with
lots of atrocities on the Russian populace, but these were ignored in the
context of the musuem....

I don't blame ya.

What really gets me though is people act so surprised and outraged when the dark side of human nature is put on full display. Too many people just don't understand that to be human is to be capable of not only great good, but great evil as well.

Yeah, I've still got to get a grade but I'm not too worried about it. The prof has given me a ton of good grades so far, and I put alot of work into writing a good paper. It was just getting it all put together that was most stressful to me.

Sounds more like mind-wrenching than anything else.

I chose the topic, so it wasn't so bad. I was more interested in the psychology behind genocide, even though the topic can be rather depressing.

Actually (as odd as this may sound) the Japanese tended to be worse than the Germans in World War II. While everyone talks about the six million Jews (and roughly six million others, grand total of twelve million) killed by the Nazis, the Japanese killed at least ten million in China alone, with a projection of 34 million being mentioned by some sources. I just realized I left the bloody book I'm using as a reference at home. It's titled Downfall, but I won't go home until Winter Hols, so it'll be at least January before I can provide full numbers. IIRC, the Japanese casualty list tops 50 million.

The Japanese weren't as systematic as the Nazis were. The Nazi genocide was part of their higher purposes, while the Japanese crimes tended to be more sporadic and uncontrolled (granted, it was still sanctioned and unpunished by the Japanese High Command).

The Japanese performed more germ warfare experiments than the Germans, IIRc. Most of them took place in Machuria and other parts of CHina.
