Depressed no more?
Today I got a prescription for Celexa, an anti-depressant. It is also supposed to be good for sleeping. *shakes fist* Am I happy about it? Yes and no. Happy because I might get over my severe depression, no because I hate taking meds. Period.

Believe in the sign of Hentai.

I understand how you feel about the meds, babydoll, but I hope that they make you feel better. *hugs* I'm glad that you're back. I missed you!

First off, it gets you DOWN??? It's an anti-depressant...SolidSnake wrote:Im on Celexa... It does work, but you get down sometimes.
And there are sexual side effects, which suck...
And as far as the sexual side-effects, well, we'll see...

Meds suck... I was on Effexor for a while. It helped me pull out of the nervous breakdown and severe depression I was in, but the artificial self-confidence I got resulted in me doing some really dumb stuff (like 107 mph in a 55 zone and getting nailed doing it.) If it's an SSRI antidepressant, just remember that your sense of fear is not what it should be and you should be fine. Also, be prepared for *err* sexual side-effects (I am not going to go into detail but it's a common problem with anti-depressants.)

I truly wonder if this is some way of lonely bio-chem students to get at the rest of the world.
"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA we'll provide a drug that boosts confidence and helps the depressed but will always have a sexual side-effect!!!"
I know why it does it...oi the stuff we put into our bodies...but I digress.

wow. I have plenty of self-confidence, but who knows what it'll do? See what happens in a couple of weeks...beyond hope wrote:Meds suck... I was on Effexor for a while. Seratonin and sexual function are inextricably linked, you can't tamper with it and not see those results... this is why I prefer to live with my moodiness.Ghost Rider wrote:I truly wonder if this is some way of lonely bio-chem students to get at the rest of the world.

Yeah I know...it's just so bloody ironic...get your confidence back, but minor sexual effects.
