windows question

if you´ve got several windows open you have several buttons on the lower part of you screen. everyone stands for one window and if you click one of these buttons it´s window opens. (i dont know how to explain this better but i guess you know what i mean.)
is there a way to resort these buttons. for example if i want to take the button to the right and put it to the left?
i´m asking this because when i´m at sd.net i´ve usually go the forum index on the left, then open the other forums in new windows. sometimes this gets messed up.
i´m using windows 98
it´s not that big of a problem, but i´d like to know it anyway.
