When Master of Orion 3 is released would anyone be interested in games with just us forum members, maybe even tournaments? (Personally I wouldn't mind playing against Mr. "Darth" Wong himself.) Is there any interest in this idea?

Count me in for some MOO3 fun!

Sure, once the game gets out, and gets to Australia I can take up the offer.

Vympel, my local EB store planned to get in on the 6th of december, when the game was coming out on the 4th. That was before the release date got pushed back at least 2 weeks.

So 2 days delay for it to get to Australia from america is fairly good.

Don't get your hopes too high. The game might be delayed till next year.

That article is dated 11/27/02. In any case it is a bad thing concerning its Christmas sales. I think that on Wal-Mart's website they even mention something about the game coming out next February, but I wouldn't call that reliable information.

Indeed, the game has been delayed until 2003. There were some major multiplayer bugs, enough that it would have required a latter patch to correct it (they considered disabling it initially)

MOO2 was pretty fucked up when it came out. It wasn't until several patches later that it was workable.

I can remember my Social Studies teacher, great guy, complaining about the release date being pushed back, that was two years ago. If they can get this close to the release date and stuff find such massive problems I'm not buying.

With MOO2 everything major as fixed by the time I bought it, one download took care of everything. Perhapes when I can be assured of that I will consider it.

The majority of the beta testers that wrote their opinion believed that it could be released now. OTOH, Infogrames has decided to release it as polished as possible
