Stallman slammed closed software and DRM as a threat to civil rights and made an outright call for the music publishing industry to be destroyed.
Did any of the corporate media in the US or Canada dare to report this?

It's not my place in life to make people happy. Don't talk to me unless you're prepared to watch me slaughter cows you hold sacred. Don't talk to me unless you're prepared to have your basic assumptions challenged. If you want bunnies in light, talk to someone else.
I got 7 out of 7 on the test

Anyways that guy needs to be able compromise. He is notorius for not being able to do so.
I agree with DRM sucking and everything, like software must comply to standards and such.
I mean open source is a good concept but a world with exclusively free software is unrealistic. There has to exist at least some non free software out there, after all people need to make money.
For example Trolltech the creators of QT would be in trouble, since they depend on customers paying to develop closed source software, without having to make apps dependent on QT GPLed. Maybe something like the Openoffice/Staroffice or Mozilla/Netscape could work, ie the base software is free or OSS, but the extra features are not.
Also his insistence that Linux be GNU/Linux is getting annoying. Sure Linux is only the kernel, but does anyone give a damn? Also do you really need to use the GNU utils? Can't you use the BSD ones? Also what about other contributers. Why not call it KDE/XFree86/GNU/Linux or something.
However the guy does contribute a lot.
He needs to get a haircut though.

Anything worth the cost of a missile, which can be located on the battlefield, will be shot at with missiles. If the US military is involved, then things, which are not worth the cost if a missile will also be shot at with missiles. -Sea Skimmer

Yes the RIAA needs to die. I don't listen to much music anyways.
I listen exclusively to Michelle Branch and Avril Lavigne. According to the people on the board I have bad taste in music.

Eh Kazaa lite sux (for no reason whatsoever) until they updated kazaa. My sister used to use Kazaa with the dummy cydoor dll, but they seemed to have updated the files on the server and added even more spyware, when I had to reinstall it since I did not keep the downloaded files. I just had to format and reinstall everything since removing the spyware with ad-aware crippled the ability to go on the net. Damn I need to get that linux box working on the net. It takes forever to download the neccesary libraries on a 26.6k connection. . Lorton VA is a crappy place to live in when it comes to bandwidth. I can't afford broadband. Hell me and my sister and her friends are illegally sharing an internet account, due to my ISP's stupidity at blocking simultaneous connections from the same account . When I log in from a different computer using that account, it's a lot faster.
