It's political correctness run amok. Basically, if it was thought up by a white male, especially a dead white male, it MUST be racist.

Somebody needs to tell this clown that the Uruk Hai are not supposed to be Jamaicans (or any other blacks) just because they have dark skin and dreadlocks. If he sees Jamaicans in these obviously myth-inspired, twisted goblin creatures I think it says more about how he views African Americans than it does about Tolkien being a racist. Likewise, so what if the Rohirrim are white guys with blond hair. Given that Tolkien always said Middle Earth was meant to be a prehistoric Europe, why would the men of Middle Earth not look like Europeans?

Actually, I think that the book is somewhat racist in its portrayal of the world, but that stems largely from Tolkien's nostalgia for the British Empire of old. The article brings up no good points, whatsoever. It presents none of the reasonable evidence necessary for making a case, and is outright idiotic in its fundamental approach to evidence.

Soon, T-34’s are careening around the battlefield as they

Before long, dozens of Soviet tanks are destroyed and
smoking as Meyer directs the attack, Soviet fighters are
