Best Action Movie Ever?

What's the best purely action movie you've ever seen?
My vote is for Terminator 2: Judgement Day. It's had Arnold, killer cyborgs, and plenty of action. It also had emotion and good characters. That to my mind is one of the things that sets a good action movie apart from a crappy one.
Not to mention T2 had some of the best action sequences ever. I mean who could forget the motorcylce chase or the cyberdyne sequence. It's an awesome movie. And when Uncle Bob the T-800 goes into that steel you just want to salute him for the guts that took.

I liked T2 as well. It owned.
Mission: Impossible was a great action movie too, IMO.

I'll have to concur with T2. I also thought FOTR had some great action.
Ooh, don't forget the Die Hard and Indiana Jones movies.

Lethal Weapon 4 was pretty good. Also, Matrix had awesome digital effects.

T2. Fucking awesome. Under it is the original The Terminator.
I enjoy GoldenEye, Live and Let Die, and Octopussy a lot as well.

Im not sure if this is the best Ive ever scene, but Hard Boiled is probably the best gun fight movie ever made. Saw it at local movie theatre that plays Chinese movies while I was in college.

Speaking of Hong Kong... How about the Lethal Weapon and Rush Hour series?
And anything with Jackie Chan in it...

Sweet action but no soul to them. None of the character or attachment you get with T2 or other great action movies.

So is Iron Monkey. And Fist of Legend.
The fight at the end of Iron Monkey on the poles is a classic.

Uhhh... they are action movies... they may have the brains of a fundie but all they're meant to do is deliver the action that maxes out your blood adrenaline for six hours after that...

In no particular order, some good movies IMO that have not been
mentioned yet are:
"The Rock" with Sean Connery
"The Usual Suspects" with Kevin Spacey
"Rambo" with Sly
"Predator" with Arnold

Just wait until Hero. Jet Li vs. Donnie Yen.

Ooh, don't forget the Die Hard and Indiana Jones movies.
Mmmm, Indiana Jones, definitely. The first and the third in the trilogy get my vote, along with 'The Fugitive,' which kicks fucking ass.
Obvious much that I'm a Harrison Ford fan?
And Neoolong, I thought 'Leon' and 'The Professional' were two different names for the same movie? I thought they were both correct, no?

Third Indiana Jones was the best, easily.

Definitely. My favourites were the three trials...
"Kneel Before God!"
"In the Footsteps of the Lord!"
"In the Name of the Lord!"
But I always thought the last two challenges had their names mixed up...

The best fight scene was the one on the tank.

Yes, yes... I remember they were trying to grind each other's faces into the dust on the treads...
