My fucking mouse is wrecked. I'm relying on a old cheap shitty one. Maybe an optic isn't so bad...

The optic mice are nice, but ensure that you glide it over a monochrome surface. They tend to get freaked out by patterns -- at least mine does...

I have an optical mouse for ~1 year now and it works just fine even when used on surfaces with patterns.
I think it's better than a normal one.

I bought this mouse mat:



I love my icemat, easy to clean (soap & water) newer wears out, and it looks cool.

Useless for an optical looks like.

Wierd. My desk is kinda like that but my optical lasers get deflected like crazy on it.

That applies to so much of life unfortunatly

My maus pad has a crazy water-droplet pattern and it's been excellent for split-second pinpoint rail shots! Crazy patterns don't phuck optical mice!
