I Saw "Clerks 2"

Post by Lord Poe »

I was one of 50 "View Askew" board members picked to see a rough cut of "Clerks 2" this past Friday. I have to say this is a movie you simply can't wait to see on DVD. It HAS to be seen with an audience!

I signed a NDA, so I can't talk about specifics, but I can say there are some gut busting funny scenes in this movie from beginning to end. It also has a few scenes that will really hit hard emotionally.

Kevin Smith was there, as well as Jay Mewes, and Jeff Anderson, a few others. We were picked to be a "focus group" of sorts, to talk about where the movie may have dragged, what was funny, what could be trimmed, etc.
We stayed over two hours after the movie ended, just talking to Kevin about this flick more like friends rather than fanboys and Hollywood Star.

The movie comes out about mid 2006 or so. I can't wait to see it with an audience again! If you're a fan of the first movie, I can tell you it isn't more of "I'm not supposed to be here today!"

Awesome to hear on both the needing an audience and not more of the first.

Will be glad when it comes out then.

I hate you so much right now. :P

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

Just curious, but how did you get to be on the View Askew board? Decoder Ring puzzle?
