Huh, a pun about bootstraps comes to mind.

EDIT: Wait, what did you do exactly?

Note the key on the side of the computer, with the DIMM as a keyring :)

yup.... though i rememberd a might late that if i have to pull the board i have to unscrew the damned switch first and i'm too lazy to drill a proper hole in it.

btw, at the LANparty on friday, i got more comments and complements about that strap than i think any of the casemodders got about their stuff...

not to mention that the grizzled old heap survived the dozen or more power outages caused by tripped breakers, several other people had hard drives and other hardware go tits up on them, and we're talking NEW hardware here, not a jumbled together mass of junk which was modern 5 years ago (the newest part is 2 years old with the majority from 5-7 years)

btw, i am getting either a blacklight or a blue CCFT to put in the side against the outer casing mount rail. (bought the case without the "hull plating" for $5 cause i liked it with the slide out card/mobo assembly.) should look cool..

btw, it's being upgraded to an athlonXP 2600+ (or higher) proc with 512 DDR 2700, and probably an 80gb hard drive and 128mb GF4 ti4200 (MSI) within the week. (hell of a differance from 500hmz POS, eh?)

yes, it looks so bad that no one in their right mind would rip it off.

btw, i have a HUGE amount of hardware going up for sale.

do take note of the condition of that DIMM, i beleive it's the remains of a PC100 64 or 128 stick, i found it in the gravel behind one of the local stores and immidiately thought "keychain" how appropriate that something that messed up would end up as part of the on/off switch on my junky looking but perfectly running (even with shot IDE controller) comp.
