Now I've had bugs zap themselves inside my monitor a few times (my monitor is invincible. It survived all of that without a hitch), but a snake???
That's like that one story where an opossum crawled into the engine space of a car.

Probably slithered in through the grate in the back there when the computer was turned off. It was likely attracted to the heat, as those things get pretty darn toasty at times. Then the user came back, turned the PC on again, and the fan started up. The snake tried to get out, but got pinned by the fan's motor. It's hard to tell if the snake is alive or dead from just the pictures though, but it doesn't look as though rigor mortis has set in, or the back wouldn't have been so straight hanging off that screwdriver. Still, the front looks like it is stuck in the position that the fan had forced it in, so I dunno. Its chances for survival don't look terribly high though.

I disagree. When it is shown hanging from the screwdriver, the part that got caught in the fan hasn't moved at all from the position shown in the previous images. The angles are exactly the same. Also note that there is no discernable change from the first picture to the second, and the only reason for the change in the third picture is that the unit the snake is stuck in is upside down, and thus so is the snake.
Besides which, were it still alive, once the power had been disconnected from the fan, it probably would have at least gained a small range of motion, if not been able to escape entirely. It's possible that its still alive, but that seems unlikely, even more so when you consider that the snake was electrocuted.

How the hell did a snake get into the computer. What a way to die. It's almost as bad as dying while taking a shit.

Awww... poor snake. Now, I'm sure if someone finds a snake in the computer from now on, they would have to turn the computer into a "natural snake habitat" and raise it until it can be released.

If one snake got into his house and got into his computer, think about how many other snakes could be in his house.
