How about we do another movie seeing, and Aerius can include Snuggles, to prove to us that she really is snuggly   :P 8)

How bout it? Maybe Friday? This weekend?

I'd like to get in on the movie this time. Friday would be better though. But it would have to be a late show if it's in the city.

Bwhahahaha!!

Ewo and I are meeting in a few short minutes to see the midnight showing tonight.

So I think this means the Maryland crew is cooler than the Ontario crew! :P

Damn, you guys are a better crew. Atractive women versus a bunch of guys and one taken girl. No competitiom for you guys. Too bad I'm not in either area.

To bad you can't see it on a big screen.

Yeah, well, I'll try and console myself with that while I'm watching one of the most kickass movies ever in one of the most kickass theatres in the area. :D Somehow, I think I'll manage.

Have a lovely night, boys! *blows kisses* Ciao! 8)

You wont be in the company of our God Wong though, whose might at making redlights turn green is unparralled.

Anybody in the South want to get together and catch it. I'll have the week of Christmas through New Years off. Maybe get together and watch it.

Big screen? Are you saying that they're showing LOTR on IMAX here? Sweet!! I'm in on a viewing anyday, but it'll be crazy busy at the theaters on Friday I think, not that any other day's gonna be much better. I don't know if my GF can make it though, she's kinda tied up with family stuff which means I'll likely end up seeing the movie twice. Once with you guys and once with her and cuddles.

Nah, it aint on IMAX, I'm saying that MD is shit poor and has no big screens, like our standard screens up here.

And I suppose you've been to many, many movie theatres down here in good ol' 'shit poor MD' to accurately judge that?

I don't know about that, I'm not impressed at all with the screens in all our new multi-plex theatres, and the acoustics hurt my ears. The thing that impressed me the most about the IMAX AOTC was that the picture didn't shake all over the place like they do in all the new multi-plexes, and that they had nice balanced sound. I love the old style theatres a lot more, too bad most of them are shut down now. The screens may be a tad smaller but everything else kicked ass.

If Friday is bad, how about Sunday? Saturday I have family stuff and Monday onward I'll be in Ottawa but anytime Sunday is good.

I can do Friday, but I'm gone Saturday and Sunday. Are we doing this?

I'm on for Friday, sounds good to me! We have a day now, book it and they will come!

Friday is on then, now, which theatre?

I live pretty close to the Sheppard Grande, Young & Eglinton Colliseum, the one just north of the Grande, and I can get to the Yorkdale one easy.

I think the Sheppard Grande and the Empress Walk theatres are probably the best bet. Anything close to a shopping mall's out of the picture with Christmass madness going on, don't even think about trying to get into Yorkdale or the one at Square One shopping center!

Where are those located?

Why not the Colossus again, or perhaps the Queensway?

The Sheppard Grande is at Yonge & Sheppard, and Empress Walk is a couple blocks north of it. The Colossus is also a possibility, it should be far enough away that we won't have millions of screaming psychos swarming it, then again it is located in the middle of a strip mall.

Forget about the Queensway, that has got to be the busiest theatre I've ever seen, and it's primary audience consists of screaming teeny-boppers. I'd need months of counselling and anger management therapy if I ever have to go back there again, either that or I'll end up in jail for beating the teenies to death and/or running them over with my car.

True enough, but it didn't seem to be a problem last time, so I figured Colossus was a safe bet. How is traffic likely to be at Yonge & Sheppard on Friday night?

Should somebody run out and get advance tickets tonight, just in case there's a lineup on Friday?

The traffic aint THAT bad.

Definately not as bad as the 401 on the way to the Vaughn Colossus.

The Grande and Empress Walk are both at TTC stops, though it's like an hour long subway ride from Kipling.

I could go out and get tickets, though I'd have to know how many, what times, and I'd have to see what money I can get from my parents.

Someone could order them online though.

I just need to point out that I'm coming in from the Waterloo area so where ever the theatre is, I'm going to need directions. And the late show would be easier for me to make after work. I can always bow out if that's no good for anyone else.

by Darth Wong
I'm OK with that. Let's get some showtimes. I used to live in Waterloo, so I can give you directions.

OK, that's Mark S (is your wife coming along?), me, Rebecca (yes, she says she wants to come too), Aerius, and Ted, for a total of 5 or 6 people (depending on whether Mark S's wife comes).

Now we just have to arrange a rallying point and a theatre. Is the one at Yonge+Sheppard the front-runner? Parking OK there? Somebody should go get advance tickets (6; if there's a no-show, we can refund a ticket before the show starts).
