Is this allowed? And do we have to treat those characters a certain way or something? Do we also need permission?

Adding denizens to your fanfic is traditional (there's a long history of it on ASVS) but it's considered good manners to ask the person first (unless you dislike them and wish to virtually slaughter their ass
