Movie Ticket Prices

Post by Uraniun235 »

What are movie ticket prices like in your area?

Here in NW Oregon, I can get a matinee ticket for $4.50, and an evening ticket for $6.50.

same, just keep in mind that ticket revenue will not by itself keep a theater afloat. It's the two dollar candy bars that do.

In my country? Something like 3 bucks at most. But here in London we get it for £5.50 at student price.

$5.50 for matinee, $8 for evening. The local ticket prices vary by +/- $0.50 though (the older theatres charge less, the newer ones more, different chains charge different amounts...)

$8.00 tickets on "Tight-arse Tuesdays". All other days (for students like me) 10.50.

It's around $4.50 where I am. But, it's not the tickets that rake in the omney, it's the overpriced, fattening food they give you.

I pay around $4.50, but my wife and I usually go to matinees or we get a military discount.

In NJ it's $8.75 for a evening ticket and $5.75 matinee. Hell it could be worse. I could be living in NYC where it's $10!!!! Shit!!

Thank God for student discounts though. :D

Ive heard about it being 10 bucks in NYC. Holy crap. $9.50 is my personal cut off point, unless the movie is really special. LOTR or something like that.
It wont be too long before movies are 10 bucks here.

There used to be on in Fremont. It was called Super Saver but it did not last long. Im not sure if it was because they did not make money, or because the cheap price attracted lots of punks ( which it did ).

We have all kinds of theatres here in Maryland. One near my house is $7.50, with $4 matinees that end at 6pm, another is $8.00 for all shows, and we have a couple $1.50 theatres, but you have to wait a couple months for movies to get there. They only show the movies that have been and gone from every other theatre. BUT you get free popcorn and soda when you go there!! :D And the screen's pretty big!! (Eat that, Ted! Bwahahah!) :D :D :D
