I don't like Christmas either. Gimme New Years with the sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll. Stow the glorified and commercialized groveling to christian god that Christmas has become. I want my Pagan Winter Solstice festival back!

Unfortunately less likely as bloke is still working double hard (trouble with bartenders is they work longer and harder when students are free), and it's too awkward for him to come to the parental abode between shifts.

Actually, I call it Christmas, and do the 25th, because a) it's a bank holiday and there's nothing else to do, and b) the families do the 25th (except we're doing boxing day because I'm at my boyfriend's aunt's for the 25th)
But, because not one member of my family that is under 60 is a Christian, it's not technically Christmas that we celebrate. It's just each other.

Aww that's sweet. My boyfriend's family are all Fundys from RedneckLand, and mine are psychic vampire atheists from God knows where (COUGH*Michigan*COUGH)... Let's just say if my family meets his, it's gonna be MESSY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
