A bit of poetry

As sleep envelops deep
This tired brain mine
Visions play through
My fading mind's light
A fire burns bright
We share in the warmth
Laughter springs forth
And kind words abound.
The world grows small
Right down to the room
And all of creation
Sits 'twixt you and I.
When my vision doth cross
The path of your eyes
This bright light sparkles
Brighter than all
Filling me whole
Pouring over cup's edge
This ultimate comfort
Is none less than divine.
Looking towards my own soul
I see this reflected
A light of my own
Stirred by thine gaze.
Knowledge be slow
Yet understanding, quick
This greatest of light
Is that of friendship.
This tired brain mine
Visions play through
My fading mind's light
A fire burns bright
We share in the warmth
Laughter springs forth
And kind words abound.
The world grows small
Right down to the room
And all of creation
Sits 'twixt you and I.
When my vision doth cross
The path of your eyes
This bright light sparkles
Brighter than all
Filling me whole
Pouring over cup's edge
This ultimate comfort
Is none less than divine.
Looking towards my own soul
I see this reflected
A light of my own
Stirred by thine gaze.
Knowledge be slow
Yet understanding, quick
This greatest of light
Is that of friendship.
