A Handheld WP?

I'm looking for a handheld word processor. All I'd need is something that basically has "Wordpad" on it, and will allow me to generate a 1mb .txt file if I wanted to! No bells, whistles, or graphics. And a firewire port to u/l the text file to my 'puter. So any suggestions?

Its called a notebook. I suggest you invest in the pen upgrade to avoid using your own blood.

Pay no mind to these heathens. Dried leaves and sparrow blood have always worked for me.
In all seriousness, you might want to invest in a Palm Pilot or Visor. The best person to ask is Kynes since he's apparently some sort of living computer god.

Up until here, I was going to say "Psion Revo" (Diamond Mako over there, I think). I've had mine for a few months, and I don't use it for anything but word-processing. Or go with a series 5mx if you need a backlight. And with Psion pulling out of the market, they're going for a song. But...

All the Psions used serial connections (or IR). And their connecting software at the PC end is a little erratic, although if you just want to transfer stuff back and forth it works fine.
edit: Ought to tell you where to get one, really.

Doesn't look like they have new ones any more.

Grab one of the PDAs - head to your nearest computer store and try them out and see which you like best. A small portable keyboard (like those folding Palm/Targus ones) would be nice as well.

I thought the honey was too sticky to be an ink.

Bah. I have a Cross fountain pen that writes far better than those silly Bics
