Hey, I just noticed that we're rapidly approaching the 2 megapost mark. Should we do anything to mark this occasion?

Mind you, if you count deleted posts, then post #2000000 has already been made, and NecronLord made it here. But if we don't count deleted posts, then we still have a few weeks to go.

The person who makes the 2,000,000th post gets to title, avatar, and sig any ten members of his or her choosing. Those ten members have to keep those titles, avatars and sigs for 6 months.

If the person in question can already title and sig at will (say, if it's DW or a supermod), then he or she may delegate the priviledge to any peron of his or her choosing.

Was there a special event for post #1,000,000? If so, what was it?

It does seem Fair, maybe even for every 500k posts (Or 1e6 at a minimum) although maybe the members should have to keep it for only 4 months? Not all of us are multi-yearers after all .
Still it seems fair to grant a prize for every half or quarter million posts, it's not exactly that common after all.

Not every 250k posts per person, but the person to post which is also that post number in the forum.

I am against Alferd's suggestion, I'd love it if I won it but then you'll get people waiting and waiting and then finally the flood of spam would come in.

I think the 2 millionth post should get a quote of their choice on the front page where it says "Promoting Sexual Deviancy since 2002" for a week. Imagine everyone logging in would first have to read "Darth Fanboy accepts Cash Only" or something funny like that.

We could have the Senate validate the result, so if someone spammed his way to the two millionth post, he's disqualified.
