Yeah, yeah, yeah. Happy New Year to you too. I'll be around in three hours to do it when the new year rolls over my part of the world.

Still not there yet. 3 hours left, only one until I go to work. Hopefully I won't be doing much with detox protocals or gun shot wounds.

Tucson seems to be slowly convincing people about some of the basic rules of physics. You celebrate by shooting a gun into the air the bullet eventually comes down. We've had some people killed and several injured this way. I remember one bullet coming down a couple of miles away from where it was shot in the air and going through at least part of a mobile home.

Midnight now in South Dakota. May the year next be a good year.

They had radio announcements this year reminding people that if they fire into the air and kill somone, they will probably be charged with murder.

One of the local cities here has a system of microphones around the city that can detect a gunshot and puts in onto a map grid for police dispatchers to call a vehicle. I dont know how well it works though.

Its 10:30 here right now. Really quiet night in my complex.

I'm at work for tonight. But at least they served champaign to make up for it.

Nice thing is that I get to kick off the new year with a 4 day weekend!
