Well thinking about Stormbringer's point.
Would forcing some abusive lout to be a woman, for say a span of 1-5 years be an effective punishment for crimes against women?

I thought that rapes rose at Spring. Live and learn.

Really? I've never heard of any seasonal impact on domestic abuse cases here in Toronto. Mind you, we're not shut-ins for the winter; weekend traffic is no lighter in winter than it is in summer, which tells me that people are still going about their business just as before.

I don't think it would help; he/she would simply start abusing his/her children. My preferred punishment for men who beat their wives is to send them into the prison showers for a good ol' fashioned gang rape.

Were down to R2 right now, but yeah for weeks on end we are shut in's up here, with nothing much to do, alcoholism, rises, and so do alcohol related crimes, Not to mention, the folks on the road here are very dangerous.

I have to agree with Wong....nothing like a 25 stone roomie called bubba to seriously readjust someones world view....

I reckon the humilation of being raped by a man of medium level fitness would be a bigger punishment.

I reckon yes, let every man guilty of violent crimes against women be forced to be a women.
Then send her to a all-male prison for the druation of her sentence.

I've always favoured the idea of rapists and molesters being castrated... slowly.

Mind you, sterlising them might be a good punishment. Deny them one of life's joys- kids- for lacking self-control.

I don't think I ever said any thing like that. I've always been in favor of either having the rapists executed or introduced to a 500 pound amourous cellmate mate sans lube.

Now for a man beating a woman I say beat him with a lead pipe until he can't stand and then send him to prison with Big Bubba for a cellmate.
