The Simpson's is by far the better show. And they do have Jay Sherman if you will remember! So nyah!

There is a reason it's the longest running comedy.
Now for what your title stated, I believed it was a fight, and I can only think of three TV dads that can hold their own against Homer, Al Bundy(who would kick Homer's ass), Red Foreman(who would lose to Homer), and Peter Griffin(inbetween Homer and Red)

As I recall Jay and Homer had a contest, and Jay won. Or at least Jay was more disgusting than Homer.

I'm not too sure that Al Bundy could kick Homer, now I'll make some points so we can all think it out.
- Al threw a shotput 6 inches in the senior Olympics
- Al defeated a British knight guy with a good groin kick
- Al has some sort of shoe stink that would seem to defy the Ganeva convention
- Homer, when punched in the gut (Al's favorite spot to hit) seems to let the hand sink into him.
- Homer also has a bad stench
- Homer tires VERY quickly
So it seems it all comes down to who can bring out the stench first, and Al seems to be immune to bad smells.
So, Al, just.
Peg vs Marge would be funny.
