Most Manly Movie Scene

Ok, so I was just watching 'Ronin' and was so completely machofied by the scene where Robert DeNiro's character directs Jean Reno's character to operate on him to remove a bullet from his abdomen that I was wondering what other testosterone-laden scenes there are to rival this one. You know, he's all bleeding and in pain and guides Reno on how to operate using a mirror, and he doesn't even take anything for the pain! And then, when the operation's over, asks if it's ok to pass out then. You know the scene, I'm sure...

So, can you think of any others that are way macho like this one?

In Exacalibur, Arthur dragging himself up Mordred's pike to kill him as he dies. That's manly as hell. You can not top that.

Without a doubt, Mel Gibson in Braveheart. They held an axe to his pene and said, "Say mercy and we won't do it," and he didn't say mercy! What a guy! Me? I go in for a sports physical and confess to the Kennedy assassination!

Then, of course, there is the brave Han Solo, who stood resolute (probably a bit horny, as well) after kissing Princess Leia, forsaken to an uncertain fate in a block of ice.

In "Tombstone", an unarmed Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russell) smacking the piss out of Johnny Tyler (Billy Bob Thornton) all the while daring him to draw his gun.

Ah, sorry about this, but the scene I have in mind comes from a manga, not a movie. But I'll post it anyway.

The main character's been shot in the back with an arrow. He lies unconscious for a while, wakes up, jumps into the air and lands on his back. The arrow is pushed up and through his chest (not heart area, but pretty close). He then grabs the arrow with his hands and pulls it out through his body and out his front.

Just to remind people here extereme machoness is usually bad for your health....most of the really macho scenes are terminal ;) Things dont come much worse for your health than that.

Manly scene: Lord of The Rings - The Fellowship of the RIng

Gandalf standing up to the Balrog. God DAMN that was fucking cool. Even better was when he was fighting the Balrog all the way down the mountain and chasing him up to the peak.

If we can bring in video games and are going for sheer toughness, then Dante receiving the lightning sword in Devil May Cry. Stabs him through the chest and pins him to the floor, and he pulls himself up the blade and off the sword.

For movies...I dunno. Most of the movies I've seen either aren't revolving around tough guys or are too unrealistic to be believed.

Buddy in 'Six-String Samurai'

Wounded after offing a small russian army, being dragged across the road facefirst for miles, most likely dehydrated as hell and half starved, then to top it all off he gets about four arrows shot into his back.

Of course then he picks himself up takes his sword and proceeds to literally duel with Death.

Conan the Barbarian.

Conan has had the shit kicked out of him and is being crucified. While hanging there he kills a vulture with his teeth to stop it from pecking at him.

Jeez, too many to count. Pretty much any scene with Maximus in Gladiator can qualify. Ditto for William Wallace in Braveheart.

One scene in particular comes to mind - the final showdown between John McClane and Hans Gruber in Die Hard. McClane has had his ass kicked 8 ways from Sunday in every conceivable way. A bloody mess, he limps up to Gruber, who's holding a gun to McClane's wife. Gruber's last remaining thug is standing to McClane's side, about to go for his own gun. McClane, with only two rounds left, simply says "hi, honey."

Pure Bruce Willis-style balls. :D

Macho Scene? How about in LOTR when Eowyn takes out the King Ring Wraith. She was prepared to die to protect her king and almost did. the fact that Theoden died anyway is besides the point.......

Wtf!!! That wasn't Lame! He was realizing his mistake while trying to take Frodo. Then accepted the fact he had been greedy the entire time we knew him. Then he stood against all the Uri Kai. Hell yeah.
