Basically, you're in command of the Ent-Nil, and you alone have to wipe out over 100 Klingons in 25 days or less to preven the fall of the Federation. There's warbirds, commanders, supercommanders, and supercommander factories, not to mention Tholians, tholian webs, planets, starbases, Romulans, and Tribbles.
Were this game canon, it would easily defeat Star Wars. A single torp causes a star to go nova, the Enterprise can withstand supernovas, etc. etc.

That Game is ancient!
I loved it, and got up to the point where I could beat level 5 without a starbase. It might have been updated though if it is the VGA trek
My favorite game, however, was the one where you had to collect tribbles I believe, my father got so addicted to it once he played it for 24 hours straight. If I could find it I would post it for you

It's not that hard. You move around and shoot Klingons with either torps or phasers. PM with what's confusing you and I'll try to clarify.

You can also use the death ray, set stars to go nova, bombard planets, and...um...well...it's rather one-dimensional.
But it's damn fun!

You can either convert them to energy, though that will never get rid of all of them, or the next time a Klingon surrenders(use phasers) he will take all of the tribbles with him.
