Favourite Sounds

I'm on the phone with my best friend Katy right now, and she just told me that the sound of my voice was one of her favourite sounds, so I thought I'd ask what some of your favourite sounds are too. I thought that was just so sweet! Especially since, at the moment, my voice is a raspy, icky mess!

I don't want to know what kind of responses the twisted sexual freaks of SD.net are going to post to this thread...

A great, big, HUGE explosion.
Of course, that's the only sound I can hear. I'm deaf.

LOL
Wow, that should show what a truly innocent and pure mind I have; I didn't even think of that. Oops.

1. Wind blowing past you when you're standing on a snowy mountain or peak. Puts you in a semiconscious mode that makes the world seem like something you see through a window.
2. If done right, a female voice singing.
3. Beam cannons from Freespace 2 ^_^
4. This flute-like instrument I heard once.
5. There's probably a few more, but I can't think of them right now.
EDIT: Someone speaking Japanese.
EDIT2: An electric guitar. U2 style.

For some weird reason, German sounds cool when spoken...

The sound of the ocean on the day after a storm. Only a few gulls but you get the big breakers. It's my favorite sound by far.

*looks at Zaia's title* Pure mind? Unless I'm quite mistaken, it's impossible for a BotM member to have an unsullied mind.
Anyways, fave sound is my GF's and my friend Sandra's voices, they both have sweet voices with the same really cute accent that I just can't place. That cute accent is so soothing and can be such a turn-on at times.

M16A2, MG42, MG34, M1911A1, and M1903 reports. I also like the KA-THUMP a lot of large cannons make. Ricochets in general, especially the "zip-line" effect of machine gun fire being strafed across a soft material, such as dirt or sand. Most lightsaber sounds as well.

Thunder you feel more than hear, the silence of a cold winter night, my bamboo windchimes, a Strat through a vintage silver-faced Twin, trains in the distance, and these are weird I know, but the ka-pock sound your tires make driving over the expansion joints on long bridges, the tink-tonk of the turn signal relay in my car, and especially weird, the whoomp sound my furnace makes when the burners ignite.

All right, I'll be the first to say it: the sound of a woman sighing when you're going down on her.
Also, a sexy girl whispering in my ear. Major turn-on.

The slapping sound of me banging into my wife's ass.

by Knife
1. My wife laughing
2. A Browning M2 on automatic and the sounds of the rounds hitting metal.
3. A soft tender moan (female).

Soft wind in trees, strong wind in the trees and against the house, that distant noise I can sometimes hear at 4 am, rain against the roof, distant rolling thunder, that curious lack of sound on a cold night. I'm sure there are others I can't remember at the moment.

Any good fart sound effect. I have one for incoming AIM messages, and it never ceases to put a smile on my face.
My sound effect for Windows exit from the Sopranos: "Log off. That cookie shit makes me nervous."
On the Howard Stern show, the chickens sound effect that Fred plays every time they play a news clip of a hispanic actor or public official.
Also from the Stern show: the "thud" of a body hitting the floor when they read the obituaries.
From the Tom Leykis show: Taking callers out:
"Jesus Christ style" - sound of a hammer and nails
"JFK Style" - sound of 3 gunshots
"JFK Jr. Style" - sound of a diving plane hitting water
"Hallie Berry Style" - sound of a car skidding and colliding, car door opening, the door chime, door close, and then footsteps running away from the accident.
"Dale Earnhart Style" - sound of a racecar hitting a wall, as other racecars speed past.

I thought of another: The voice of the woman who does the chorus in Rammstein's Engel.

I thought of another one too: there's an ATM near my house and for some reason the cash dispensing mechanism sounds just like the Woody Woodpecker laugh when it spits out money.
Yet another strange sound I like: the tink-tink-tink of metal expanding or contracting, like the engine block of my car after driving home on a cold winter day.
Too, there's an owl that lives in my neighborhood, and it's pretty cool when it's out flying around late at night, hoo, hoo.

A girl moaning "Don't stop"...that was my ex, and I don't think I'll ever be able to forget how she said it.
I also love the sound of a wooden baseball bat connecting with the ball. Conversely, I hate that *ping* aluminum bats make.

In Totally Excruciatingly Random Order:
Quake 3 Railgun shot
Most Weapons Fire from Babylon 5
MASSIVE amounts of guns, bombs, and missiles firing and exploding in the distance
Quad Damage
Wooden Baseball Bat blasting a Grand Slam into the seats
Shotgun getting cocked
Shotgun firing
and finally,
Boy Having Orgasm
