Moratorium on these Israel vs Palestine threads?

I defy anyone to produce an example of a genuinely new argument in these threads. It's just the same goddamned thing over and over and over. Who thinks we should just knock it off and declare a moratorium on this endlessly repetitive subject?

I agree with a temporary moritorium, until a significant development occurs (i.e. a new peace intiative, a cease-fire lasting more than a week, or some such unlikely occurrence).

Enough is enough, barring new-- significant-- developments.

I also suggest this include:
China vs. Tibet
North Ireland
Abortion

Just TOOO much repetitive flamage there.

It's the same old, same old. Wait for new shit to happen.

It's just all the same garbage coming from both sides.

Kill them on sight, I say.

I agree. I haven't posted on any of these threads and I doubt I could really add anything significant other than a history lesson.

China vs. Taiwan, also. Haven't seen (or smelled) too much flamage, but it will happen if it comes up.

I have to agree on that point. I don;t even visit those threads for the very reason that its all been said before and it just becomes a pit of flaming flames. You even know how most people on this board feel on the subject so you can even anticipate what they will say and when the flames will begin (usually when Shep arrives) SO, I say YES to the moratorium.

I wish we could have one on Dorkstar as well.

I agree with this notion/sentiment.

I agree with a moritorium. Until there are new developments, or some does have a new point, they're just mindless repetition. It serves no point.

Until there are new and significant incidents or arguments then there shoul be no more threads like this.

I support a moratorium as well. These kind of debates are the same old stuff, nobody concedes, and no points are made.

I vote no simply because people who come here may decide that we delete something based on the admin or majority opinion(of the issue a hand) and I do not wish newcomers to have this (false) opinion.

We could have an announcement in the Announcements forum about that, and when a new thread on that is started it will be locked with a message saying blah, blahblah, and a link to the thread in the annoucements forum.

We'll I could reproduce the bit on how Japan has a valid claim to the area. But yes lets just lock and ban all future threads on it and Abortion.
