New web browser

Ah ... there's nothing like the thrill of browsing the web with a new web browser. I'm using Apple's new Safari, which is based on KHTML (of Konquerer fame). Despite the quirks -- it being a public beta and all -- this is probably going to be my new full-time browser.

I felt the same way when I started using Mozilla.

Wow, this has the most intelligent cookie-management I've ever seen.
"Accept cookies only from sites I browse to."
Why didn't anyone else think of that, or is it part of Konqerer ... ?

Wow...that feature has been in browsers ever since Netscape released v4.0.

Hm ... I've never seen it. There's only "Accept/Reject All" and sometimes "Accept/Reject Only From These Sites."
This feature prevents ad sites from planting cookies on your system. I guess if the server address wasn't in the URL bar, it can't plant a cookie on your system.

Mozilla 1.2.1 using the Skypilot Classic theme
IE v6 SP1
I'd show you Netscape, but I don't have that POS installed on my system.
My dad has it on his 2k box. I'll post a screencap of it later tonight if I have time.

Nah, it's not a big deal. I never noticed that feature in Mozilla 1.0, though, which is the build I have.

The Mac version of NN4 had that feature too, but a lot of Mac users stopped using Netscape after v4.51, since later versions were quite unstable, and bloatware after Communicator was the only option.

I don't get popups so I don't have to clear them

Mozilla's the best browser I've ever used, but I still use Netscape Messenger 4.79, which is rather utilitarian and suits my needs.

I started playing around with it since the milestone builds (around M8, IIRC) and switched to it full-time around 0.9.
Coincidentially, I switched from NCSA Mosiac to Mosiac Netscape at v0.9

Switched from Idiot Exploiter to Mozilla right when it went to 1.0 and I haven't looked back ever since. Some damn-fool reason my hubby wont touch Moz with a 39-3/4 foot pole! And that's AFTER I graphically showed him what hitting the wrong site with IE can do to a computer (let's just say it shortened that computer's OS life from 2-5 years to something measured in days.)

You can't save em all Hasslehoff.
Let him find out the hard way, then show him the light when he comes crawling back.

Bah! If my P3M-650 can run Mozilla, your G4e/867 can run Chimaera!
