Most of you probably heard of this already, but here it is.
The Raelian relgious sect (other words, a cult) believes that humans were cloned from aliens, that we are going clone oursleves into immortaility,(  Yeah, riiiight   ) by tranferring our minds to our new clones.
The Raelians claim that they have cloned a baby named, of all things, Eve.
And they have also created a 'company' called, (how orginal) Cloneaid.
If someone was in need of therapy, it's the Raelians.
Can you believe this dumb shit?
It's all a hoax, I tell ya.

Compared to Christianity the Raelians are quite rational. At least what they believe is possible. Sort of.

I find this quote very humorous in light of an article that ran in my university's newspaper a few days ago. It was essentially a point-by-point listing of why Christianity's origin story is more rational than the Raelians "alien origin" idea (though used a few opportunities to take stabs at evolution as well -- grr), as part of a sound bashing of the Raelian's announcement. Chief among the arguments was that it was more sensible that a Supreme Being created us than aliens, and that the Raelians are "irrational" for believing otherwise. At the least, the next day's editorial section had a more scientific take on the issue.
