Say, how many fan-fictions have been written featuring present-day Earth with the Star Wars universe (not necessarily with the Earth being invaded)?

Like, the group of Earth misfits who end up fighting for their life in a galaxy far, far away?

Just wondering because I was thinking of one (featuring a retrofitted '81 Stanza station-wagon as my spaceship

Hmmm, I've never seen one, not counting all the times TT was used in ST itself.

This is a group I've been involved with for two years now. We emerged from alt.fan.wedge and brought the GFFA to Earth. We all get to write Rogues or Wraiths. It's not the best writing, but some is really good.

But i think the whole story is a garbage. *spoiler warning* Why should it take a futuristic version of Galactic Empire to conquer 20th century Earth when the "present-day" GE (the Empire we see in SW movies) is more than suffice???
