I think the Furry Conflict is my choice. It's not the furry aspect, as I found the site before I learned of the stigma that affects furry fans. TFC seems to be well-writen, with high-production values, chock-full of features, but what? Amazons in space? Why did Luke fall to the Dark Side?

Yes, Furry Conflict annoyed me as well. I thought it was pretty good for a while, but it started getting kind of the conveluded and the plot seems to be going nowhere. Add to that the fact that it takes the author about 2 or so months to actually publish each chapter.

Why did Luke fall to the Dark Side?

There are actually a few decent explanations for that kind of thing happening in fan fics, ie Starcrossed.
