Two battlestars are NOT going to be easily hid. The Alliance will likely, through first or second-hand sources, e.g., patrol vessels or rumors whispered in a bar, learn of the battlestars' existence. How will they react to the Galactica and her crew? How will Mal react to the Alliance "ambassadors" sent to contact the Galactica and her crew?

Most importantly, what roles will the Reavers and Cylons play in this?

Rather than help him, the Marines, Adama, Tigh, and Roslin burst into laughter. The only thought going through their minds was: He had it coming.
Ha ha ha ha ha! He had it coming, indeed.
Please do not make Americans fight giant monsters.

Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.

They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

Looks decent so far, of course Miranda could provide a potential advantage to the Cylons. Mal and the crew though, have an excellent opportunity to become very rich here. Depending on how the Alliance greets the Colonials, Mal and crew could trade food to the Colonials, spare parts, etc, in exchange for technological knowledge, or equipment. Knowledge can then be traded back to multiple colonies. The longer the Colonials and the Alliance take to hammer out agreements, the longer this trade would last.

Miranda is unknown by just about the whole Alliance, so would make an excellent base, once the Reavers are cleared out. After that, start building factories to produce lots of ground troops and other military equipment. Cleaning out the area would be interesting, with Cylon Baseships firing long-range nukes at the Reaver ships. If the Reaver ships try to close, the Baseships use their fighters to disable them, or boarding ships with robotic troops. Robots vs human hand to hand psycopaths would be an interesting chapter, if you can pull it off correctly. Heavily armored robots walking through twisty corridors, their sensors trying to spot the Reaver before he or she buries an axe in their body, and if they die, they download back to the Resurrection ship (if they brought one) for further upgrades/updates. If the Cylons play it right, showing to be a benign conqueror, theycould get several fo the Rim worlds to join them. That way, when the reveal the truth about Miranda, they can shatter the public's trust of the Alliance, and make the Colonials start to suspect their new friends.

apologies to all who thought this thread had been updated. I just got back from DC a couple of days ago, and am trying to catch up on my sleep, schoolwork, and take an SAT today. However, updates should be coming soon, as I have a pretty clear idea about where the story is going to go. I. Just. Havent. Written. It.

YET.
