Hmmm, I actually have an idea now, inspired by the voice scrambler. I might have to add a few chapters now...

You know what you should have done? Actually shown the scene where they confront Gordon, instead of just saying it happened. And show them grabbing Reese in Hawaii and finally getting the confession out of him. Was that your plan for adding the chapters or were you planning on tacking them at the end?

Current plan to revision -
#0 - Batman doesn't get a look at the papers. First thing Bond does when the roof explodes is grab them. Accountant doesn't say thing as he's leaving, cause he's too scared. Possible shock of the entire thing.
#1 - No clear recording of the Batman. some kind of interference. "Well, it was a thought." Also, contacts in Washington dragging feet.
#2 - Some good old detective work. Survillance on Wayne Enterprises as most likely lead, and high up employees.
#4 - Q gimics a device to remove the interference. Also, a few other gadgets.
#5 - Confrontation (Bond is gadget equipped) + Tape recording. Still not enough after voice analysis, can't be 100% sure. Focus on Wayne now
#6 - Spot the accountant in Haiwai. Grab him, he talks.
#7 - Confession from Accountant. At same time, manage to tail Alfred to temporary batcave.
#8 - Meeting with Gordon
#8 - Final chapter as written.

MUCH better. Longer, but also more dramatic, and more in keeping with the conventions of the Bond movie (where Bond has to take personal risks to collect the information he needs to defeat the villain, for one thing).

I remember a scene proving that in the Batman live action from the sixties, with the villain Egghead deducing who Batman is by simple logic (i.e.: Batman has a lot of 'egg-spensive' toys, so he has to be a millionaire, and of the three Gotham millionaires of the right age one has the wrong accent and the other is a leftpaw, so Bruce Wayne is Batman. Just like this).
On the other hand, Superman's identity is safe because nobody believes he has one. There was even a story where Lex Luthor's supercomputer told him Superman's secret identity and Lex decided his computer was not that super because he couldn't conceive Superman having a secret identity...
