Chapter 1
The wind whipped through the forest, bending the mighty trees and uprooting the small plants and shrubs. Overhead the clouds grew greyer and the force of the rain increased.
The thunder rolled in with deafening crashes and the lightning crashed down upon the ground. In a small clearing surrounded by stones and carved tablets, the wind began to revolve and spiral. The continuing lightning blasts seemed to focus on the now spiralling wind. Madly swirling the wind whipped up the leaves and dirt and throws them into the air. In the middle, a light blue swirl started to form. The light started to become a solid form growing in size and shape. Mingling with the wind and the thunder crashes a strange unearthly wheezing sound broke the air. Accompanied by further lightning strikes a blue box 6ft tall by 4ft wide with POLICE BOX written on it materialised in the midst of the swirling whirlwind, which seemed to instantly die down. After a few minuets she gave up and grabbed the coloured umbrella from the hat stand and ventured outside to find him. The Doctor was bent over one of the tablets as Jo walked up behind him for a moment she stood trying to decipher the strange markings. Eventually she gave up and asked “Doctor what do these tablets mean?” straightening the Doctor turned to face her and the first thing she saw were his eyes. The usually pale blue eyes usually so full of energy and light now seemed to be darkened and full of anger and fear. Jo stepped back from the Doctor and was uncertain how to react to him. The Doctor looked Jo straight in the eyes and said “and the mighty beasts rose from the deep and unleashed a thousand millennia’s of pent up rage. Scorching the earth as they went burning the ground to ashes and annihilating all living things in their way. Soon day turned to night and the earth was plunged into infinite darkness”. The Doctor watched as Jo face showed horror and confusion, he sighed and started to explain…
