Or, as we do it on the HIzzile:

* leaves note on RI's Hat that says "I'm gay bite the back of my neck"
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

You, sir, are far less stealthy than you think.

*grins as consequences "sneaks" away with the sign he thought posted on RI's back in fact posted on his own*

Knife, you should be honored. Three Warwolves spamming up your thread. :P

So, what do you guys want next?
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Honestly, I was going to have another big battle next. Thats the problem. That would be three big battle chapters in a row. That is kind of harsh, so I have stopped and I am thinking of an other chapter that is less on battle and more on characters.

Thats why you don't have a new chapter yet. :P

Holding off on having a battle for the next chapter of two would be a good idea, in my opinion at least.

You write great battles. But if there's too many of them in a story, the story can get boring quickly, even if they're written very well.

I'm working on a political intrigue type thing. Not my forte' but I'm working on it. Thanks for the compliment, though.

If anything, you, Darth Davie, and Roguie (various incarnations :P ) have made it worth while, oh and the master himself, Strav. :D

Bah, you too, since I put you in Strav's lance.
As I dashed for the tower stair, I heard Stravo order half his men to the north ladders, as I commanded, and then he and Temjin, Fisher and David raced behind us. I paused momentarily at the base of the tower and grabbed a spear off the rack, as did Rogue, and then dashed up the stairs to help my Sergeant Lonestar against the giant Morlock and any who dared come over the wall.

Note, Fisher. :P

No offense, but the Watch is the Mess. Home Guard is the prevelent SDnetters in the story.

No, but I dare you to find a mentioned member of the Watch that isn't a Mess member.

I'll take that dare:
Knife, in Chapter One wrote: Her look turned more serious now, “Ryan is applying to the Watch soon.” She said in plain concern.

Ryan was my son. My second son. His older brother was already an apprentice in Shepp’s Smith. He seemed bound to become a great tradesman and craftsman. Ryan, my youngest son, turned more militaristic. At the age of eighteen, he was of age and free to apply if he wished.
:D

Your point still stands though.

IC: "Ale and Whores!" :)

OOC: A stirring portrayal of Political Intrigue and Strategic Cunning based upon The Book of Five Rings, The Art of war, and The Prince, which leaves us dumbfounded at the insights and subtle manuevers you weave into your narrative, and... ah, screw it, Ale and Whores! :D
