Prologue
The darkness of the forest at night was overcompassing.It was cold in there,no more than 5 degrees celsius
he estimated.They had been on that damned forest for two days allready,he felt that he was catching a cold.
The sleek form of his pulse phaser rifle laid on his lap, he checked the power level, altough the weapon had
little effect angainst their pursuers body armour, it was still much better than no gun at all.
"Okay people,it seems that the Imps have gone to east, so with luck we will have atleast a few hours before
we have to move again, sleep if you can."
Hah, he thought.Sleeping was all but impossible at the current conditions, but he closed his eyes and brought
back the memories how this all began 8 months ago.
8 months before....
"Captain,we are receiving reports that the Dominion has just reinforced their frontlines with 200 new ships."
The scent of war had been hanging on the air for some time allready but now, an open conflict with the
Dominion and their Cardassian allies seemed irreversable.Nobody wanted a war,but as it often was the
choices and solutions were almost at an end, the facts were that the threat of the Dominion was real
and there seemed to be no possibility of a peacefull solution was nonexistant.
"Thank you number one,Picard out." He closed the comm and glanced the reports at his datapad again.
No matter what, the Enterprise would do her duty ,Picard had absolute faith in his ship and in his crew,
they would not dissapoint him.He just hoped that was enough....
Meanwhile in a galaxy far far away...
The eerie hologram of the hooded figure hung over the Dark lords head,the re-presentation was much larger
than the figure in reality was but he knew why, the Emperor had allways had a superiority complex.
"Darth Neferis,how are the preparations proceeding?"
"Everything is proceeding on schedule, we are still to recieve our final supplies and two freighters after which
we are all set to go."
From the shadows of the Emperors hood,Neferis could regognize the grinn on his face.
"You have done well my apprentice,may your actions bring glory to the empire and expand our control to
a whole new level"
The hologram of the empire vanished, leaving Neferis all alone in the dark chamber,he rose up and strode
away from the dark room.His black boots clapped angainst the metallic floor as he walked to the bridge
of his command ship.The massive bridge of the super star destroyer Black Thunder was full of action,
crewmen and officers worked everywhere to get the ship prepared for the trip.The familiar strong built
figure of Admiral Corvis stood at the front of the bridge watchingout of the large forward windows at
the awe inspiring sight opening outside.Silently Neferis walked beside him "Admiral is my flagship ready?"
Corvis turned to face him and replied sharply
"The Black Thunder is fully under your command my Lord,the fleet is awaiting for our orders."
"Excellent admiral,signal the fleet, we will move out in 2 minutes"
"It will be done my lord"
The admiral walked to the comm station and begun to relay the orders.Neferis enjoyed the view opening
to him,over a dozen Imperial Star Destroyers were scattered around the Black Thunder,two Allegiance
class Star Destroyers flanked the Black thunder and amidst the other Star Destroyers were dozens of
frigates,cruisers and transports waiting for the order to proceed.Altough the resources commited to this
operation were relatively tiny, Neferis knew that this was only the scouting force.
"Admiral,take us in"
"Yes my lord" " Navigation,take us in"
The massive black dagger shape of the Black Thunder nudged as it accelerated towards the invisible point in
space that had been programmed to its navigational computers.The rest of the fleet followed in a tight formation,when
the 11 mile long super ship reached the point, the nose of it seemed to disturb the fabric of space itself, it twisted around
the sharp nose of the ship and after proceeding a little bit further the Black Thunder vanished in a flash of light.Without
hesitation the rest of the fleet followed their command ship and in a short moment, the fleet was gone.
