Not quite sci-fi...but more of a poem...

It all started on a saturday night,
I was surfing the net without a gripe,
When suddenly lo and behold,
On my computer a virus took hold!
All the system resources it started using up,
The e-mail files on my desktop kept cropping up,
My computer started to run slow,
While I diagnosed my computer to and fro.
I immediately unplugged the computer's ethernet cord,
To save my precious network from this viral horde.
I quickly deleted all the infected files that I could,
But to no avail, this solution didn't work as it should!
I booted my laptop as fast as I could,
Connecting to the internet while my hands felt like wood.
I downloaded Norton Antivirus, burning it on a cd,
And back on my computer, I started installing it with glee!
"I have you now, virus!" I pridefully thought,
But as I would later learn, these thoughts were for a naught.
As my windows was damaged and I couldn't install,
I yelled with rage, "How dare a virus have this kind of gall!?"
With raging fury thinly disguised,
And dark thoughts of venegance inside my eyes,
I bought a one hundred gig hard drive,
And proceeded to install windows there and gave myself a high-five.
On the new hard drive, Norton Antivirus came,
And I jumped with glee knowing that the virus would feel pain.
Hours passed, as the hard disks were scanned,
And I left the computer to be run unmanned.
And when I came back, joyful news awaited me,
For the virus was ahnihalliated with ease.
But alas the problem didn't end there,
For the virus jumped to my notebook, stealthily and with care.
So I repeated the process with much frustration,
And the notebook was cleaned from the infestation.
And I then laughed quite unabated,
For the virus was officially terminated.
I shall always curse the name of this miscreation,
A virus called "Nimda", that caused so much frustration.
Never was a tale told of a virus like this before,
So much so, that it shall be told....nevermore.

It was an on-the-fly creation based on a recent experience with the W32.NimdaE@mm worm...ugh. Get an antivirus scanner if you don't have one!
