This follows a AU thread from 40K and I need ideas and thoughts if its going to get going at all.
The Horus heresy never happened and things carried on as they were with only the Word Bearers breaking off and being crushed but the rest have continued, now here is where things get tricky, Horus noticed how the normal Imperial Guard rally around certain people who become mascots for their devision and came to the conclusion that this would be a good Idea for the Space Marines as well, and so with the backing of Mortarion,Dorn and others with the Emperors Guidence in the year 964.M41 17 new being were genetically created to be the Mascots of the various legions and were almost considered to be the children of the mighty Primarchs themselves.

So Ideas anybody?

Characters,Prelim:

Horan:The literal son of Horus and is like him in all most all ways to the point that if seen standing together it prompts jokes that Horus has shrunk in the middle of the night and someone has replaced him.
Weapons:Power sword, lightning claw and mster crafted plasma pistol.
Armour: heavily modified Mk VII plate with built-in Claw.

Larran "little" Lion:Is seen to fill the gaps left in his 'fathers' personality after Luther "CENSORED BY THE HOLY INQUISITION" although at times they have been seen to have arguments that would verge on insanity as long as they get along they are fine.
Weapons:Chain sword,boltgun
Armour:Heavily modified Mk 6 plate with ablative plates added on.

Pertan:Little more can be said about an Iron warrior, He is a strong pillar for his 'father' to lean on when needed and can also lead from the front in the final charge,but his main character flaw is large, he is as Perturbo was in his youth cold,dark and melancoly with a mind like a razor and is often seen as the hatchet man when his 'father' is not around.
weapons:modified power hammer and bolt pistol.
armour:Heavily modified Mk 3 plate with strengthened mechanics

Ragal:An exemplar for the Imperial Fists ideal for a Space Marine, he is truthful,honourable,couragous and humble adn like his 'father' in all thing bar one he has a joking streak in him a mile wide and will not miss a chance to play a joke if the chance arose, including an incident involving a mirror and "little" Horus Aximand.
Weapons:Boltgun and heavily modified chainsword.
armour: Heavily modified Mk 8 plate with heavily embossed outer shell.
