Best Thrawn Characterization in Fanfic

Writing about genius is difficult to do, right? An author should be hard-pressed to come up with his or her own Napoleon-Alexander-Nelson-whomever tactics to give to their creation. That's why a lot of people doubt the greatness of the original Ender's Game.
Thrawn is perhaps the most beloved character of the EU, and perhaps the wanked about. I have not read Zahn's original fiction, so I won't pass judgement, but I think that oftentimes in fiction the author tends to give him lavish praise, without actually giving him any original feats to show off his genius. And he gets reduced to being a pretentious art critic.
I just found this story from SB the other day (it's on FF.net)- "Galaxies Apart", an AU story (strange things happen at the Battle of Yavin), and it's rudding excellent. I'd also say that the author did a pretty good job of showing an example of Thrawn's brilliance in chapters 17-19, and he's badass in a completely different way from how he's normally portrayed in 24. So I highly recommend the story.
