Ok, this is a little old now but I touched it up and want critique on it. I may make it into a story:

It was almost 11 pm as Lou looked at his watch. Soon his loving girlfriend would turn up for their long awaited night together. It was Friday, the perfect day for such things and Lou was so glad the week was almost over. The constant office work had been murder recently. The staff shortages combined with the printing companies’ drive to perform better had caused the progress on the tedious slow paperwork to fall like a half ton of bricks, only paper instead of concrete Sometimes though, it did not feel like paper.. The drive back from work gave him the same relief and thoughts of getting home as a child who had been doing test all day at school might have had. The tests may have changed, the place may have changed but the feeling never changed. Of course there was his loyal friend always waiting for him.

Vallie was a fairly recent addition to his life. The four and a half year old German Shepherd bitch had came four months ago. He loved dogs. When growing up in his parent’s home they had a pet Rough Collie named Dilsky. They had been best friends throughout his childhood and Lou would never forget him. Sadly though, he passed away due to old age. Despite it being quite a peaceful death Lou was only 11 and sobbed his heart out. It had taken a month or so not to keep feeling miserable. Lou had a bond that was strong with that deceased canine. Life continued on and Lou faced the tasks of homework, revision and long tests. In his free time he would go out with his mates or play video games. Life was too busy for him to have another dog. Plus, the pain of Dilsky’s death still was strong in him which made the thought of having another dog sinful as if he could replace him like you did with a broken mug.

As he continued to push on in his young life though, things had started to change. He got his much needed qualifications and moved on to higher education. He got his first fully paid full time job. Money started to flow in along with the knowledge he was acquiring. His life had propelled forward until soon he had rented an apartment and was working in full time office work (a blessing and a curse). Lou was alone though and longed for a companion. Time had finally managed to change his mind set on having another dog though Dilsky would never be forgotten. Eventually he got around going to a nearby re--homing shelter where one such dog caught his eye. A large German Shepherd lying there with a rather bored expression on its face. When it noticed Lou’s presence it seemed to light up, watching him intently. Lou liked the dog and already he felt a familiar bond growing. Despite this when he had inquired about the dog though he had heard some odd information. Apparently, Vallie as the dog was called; had been under no less than six different owners. All had mysteriously vanished leaving Vallie on her own. Lou thought about it. It was coincidence, a rather big one but a coincidence all the same.

After a few weeks of checks Vallie came into his home. It was ideal as it was a large apartment with a few parks nearby. The first few weeks had been magical with both human and dog learning about each other. It was like getting to know someone with all their quirks and habits. Vallie had been well trained and had few issues with her owner. A bond similar to Dilsky bloomed and had continued since then. It was only a couple of months later that Lou ended up with a girlfriend named Josie. Both had the same interests, feelings and dislikes. She was nervous around large dogs though. Lou had taken her to his home and Josie was nervous with Vallie. Vallie though was more curious than anything else. Her training seemed to have toned down her territorial nature. Everything seemed to be going fine. One or two mild things had come about though. Vallie was not eating much anymore. At first she was devouring anything given to her but now she mostly left her red plastic dog bowl alone. Lou was thinking of calling the vets on such an abnormal issue. She was still healthy despite this, especially social wise with her being with him. She Sat next to him, licked his arms and slept near him more than ever. There was no doubt getting along with him splendidly. This socialisation was yet another coincidence. Many of the previous owners had apparently mentioned the friendly behaviour before disappearing but what the hell could a dog do to them? Do magic tricks to make them disappear? It was odd all the same though and was still food for thought at times.

Lou looked to see Vallie on the sofa looking around the room quietly. With a smile Lou got up and plonked himself next to her, giving the bitch a fuss. With a canine smile she got up and sat closer to him. Lou continued to give the dog the pleasure it wanted and stroked deep into her fur, almost feeling the skin underneath. “Who’s a spoilt girl?” he said playfully as he kept on stroking. Suddenly he felt his hand getting pulled in. He looked down. No biting. No tugging. Just his hand embedded into her tan fur. It was being pulled in! He gave a horrified look. He felt his hand meet warm dense flesh. It kept on pulling. With a horrified whimper he brought his other hand down to help get the other out. No luck. The hand had been sucked in. The arm was sinking in next. Again his other hand tried to pull it out. Foolishly he pushed the left hand against Vallie’s side for support. It got stuck and started getting pulled in as well. He was being sucked up! With a panicked cry he pulled back again but still, no luck. His right arm was gone now and the shoulder was next which in turn would drag down his body. His left had been reduced to what was left of his arm. Vallie’s face was one of calmness as she happily watched her owner get pulled in. Lou felt himself tripping up as he tried to force himself back, only to fall forwards onto the dog due to his shoe catching a paper. His chest touched her side. It was being pulled in now! He let out a desperate scream!

The pulling got harder and he felt her fur brush his neck. Most of his chest was being submerged in warm but thick flesh. It was all mockingly falling into place for Lou. The cold realisation sunk in. This was why all owners went missing. She ate them al! He desperately cried for help as his neck was pulled in while his head touched her side. What could he do? What could he say? He started to beg but his mouth was buried in fur and flesh. She pulled in the rest of him without worry and any struggling started to die down with the lack of air. He was large. He would nourish her for a while. He was delicious. After a few minutes Vallie of pulling him in; she finally sucked in her owners’ feet. She felt satisfied as she lay down on the sofa. Her stomach bulged slightly. “There is nothing better, “ she thought. "A nice nap after a nice meal."

Never even heard of that film until I looked it up. The title was just what came to mind at the time.
