Directive (Short Crossover)

This is a brief story, alot of stuff in here is fandom and based on pure speculation. I probably got a fair deal of Warhammer 40,000 Fluff wrong and i don't plan on making any continuations on this concept. The Basic idea came from a few comments i read on Spacebattles.com's forums. It's basically a joke, but hopefully you would find it at least Somewhat amusing.

Directive
-Leighton White
The existance of Wormholes had long been theorized, although none had been detected until now. The minds which had discovered the anomally in deep space studied it, sending probes through to investigate what was on the other side. What information they returned with deeply shocked them, it was exactly what they were created to prevent from happening and driven to make sure would never occur. They were in agreement. Orders were sent to long silent shipyards and factories, while ancient, long forgotton spacecraft came to life. They knew what had to be done, It was the only thing they could have done, it was there Directive.

“Men, Stand Ready!” Commissar Alexander Vanderhiem bellowed as he marched through the Trenches as Guardsmen readied their defenses. He was just one soldier trench Network worked its way around the Hive Jorgson, which from what little information he had was the last remaining bastion of the Imperium on Velaria. The attack the invaders had launched upon this world was massive and quick. Two days ago a massive fleet moved into orbit and landed a massive army moving from one hemisphere to another, overwhelming what little disorganized resistance they could muster. What was coming up against them was strange. Their ships conformed to no known Designs. They were far too good looking to be of the Ruinous Powers or of the Green Tide, too mechanical to be Tyranid and did not conform to the designs of the Eldar. He read reports of a minor Empire of Machine Worshiping Xenos on the other side of the Galaxy, but he doubted they could have come this far. Not that it mattered, whatever there were they were an affront to the Emperor and were to be dealt with.
“Today, our enemy comes seeking our obliteration, but shall meet his own as he makes his advance. You will not give up one inch of the Emperor’s Soil to this scum, he shall taste our steel and fury and faith! The Emperor watches over us and we stand Strong! We are the Three Hundredth Sixty Ninth Velarian Regiment, the Emperor has blessed us on this day and you will not blaspheme against him through incompetence!”
A few seconds latter, he heard someone yell something out. “Here they Come!” A guardsman with Binoculars yelled. Alexander walked over; the guardsmen handed over the device to him and zoomed in on the oncoming force of white armored columbs moving over the horizon across the wastes. Apparently the Basilisk batteries had already spotted them and begun bombardment while a fleet of Leman Russ Tanks and Baneblades moved out to engage this opposing force, he carefully monitored the fight while the guardsmen around him stood in silent anticipation. As they advanced he could make out more details about them, at the front massive tanks rolled along on heavy treads, kicking up dust storms in their wake while smaller and faster vehicles hovered a few meters above the ground behind them. The Imperial Columbs came to meet them, firing everything they could at the heavy tanks at the front of this invading army and managed to do some damage until he saw the firepower that these machines carried, quickly dispatching force after force of His tanks with blue bolts of Energy. Even the mighty Baneblades could not hold up against that sort of firepower for long, being unable to stop the advancing invading force. At the same time, a few of the faster vehicles fired off massive salvos of Rockets towards the hives more established defenses, breaking through walls and whipping out Basilisk Batteries under their relentless hail. He turned towards the men, they could make some of what was going on. He gave them a cold grimace to remind them the fate of cowards. When he turned back, however, his nerves were rattled.
The heavy enemy tanks parked and began laying down suppressive fire upon the trench lines. Alexander ducked as a hail of Blue Bolts flew over his head, being able to make out bits and pieces of the scene, but after a few attempts to peer to get the lay of the land, he saw a fleet of large hovering vehicles flying inbound on their position. He smiled grimly. “The enemy has come into our hands men, Prepare for Glory!” Many of the Soldiers got to their duties and he could hear the sounds of Las Weaponry and Bolters against the oncoming forces, but he immediately saw a guardsman curled up in a heap, weeping. This was something he could not stand. “On charges of cowardice in the face of the Enemy…” He yelled at the weakling as he drew his bolter. “You are sentenced to DEATH!” he said before pulling the trigger. He whiped some of the splatter uniform and revved his Chainsword for the enemy.
Just then, he heard screams and watched as a heavy bolter was literally tossed into the air by some sort of tractor beam and saw a few other weapons, including Las-cannons and Mortars tossed away from their crew while the suppressive fire slowly wound down. A few seconds afterwards, he a swarm of the invaders flew in. Each about the size and shape of a Human torso, was painted in camouflage pattern and hovered. They had two arms which were composed of a single block shaped affair on the side that was connected only with a single cable; they lacked legs and had in place of a face a single black eye. The Guardsmen began firing back against these attackers with whatever they could bring to bear and a few of them were destroyed, however their simple numbers overwhelmed them and each of these machines carried two arm mounted versions of those weapons and heard the shrieks and cries as thick groups of resistance were silenced. “Fight on, You Dogs!” He yelled just before noticing a soldier running away, he drew his bolter upon the coward, although just before he pulled the trigger he felt it ripped from his grasp and saw it tossed away by one of the devices, which was apparently equipped with the same tractor beam as their carriers. He revved his chainsword and charged at the mechanical abomination, only to watch as it flew a few meters in the air and blasted the weapon with a low power shot, rendering the weapon inoperable. He screamed in frustration as he noticed the machine had slowly begun lifting him up as one of the nearby floating vehicles used a much more powerful beam to bring him in, noticing dozens of Guardsmen being collected as well. Even with his strict Schola Progenium upbringing he felt fear creep over him as he saw the hatch closed on him enveloping him in complete darkness. Never the less, he did not let any sign of this internal terror get out until something caused him to fall unconscious.

After an indeterminate amount of time, Alexander Vanderhiem awoke in an unusual metallic room. He was still in uniform, which seemed to be clean, but was completely unarmed. He looked out a nearby window and saw Velaria below and a few of the ships above. He got to his feet looked about the room, it was not so much ugly as it was utterly bland, did not look like anything spawned by Chaos and he assumed in some way human due to the three Roman Characters on the only Logo he could make out, but never the less this was clearly not Imperial and therefore wrong. After strolling about the room for a few minutes, he was shocked to find the door was not locked and walked out into a giant chamber inside the ship with thousands of other people inside, some in guard uniform, some in Imperial civilian clothing and others wearing some sort of One Piece red garment with their Logo on their torso. He noticed dozens of other robots going about doing various minor tasks such as scrubbing the floor and picking up garbage. A few people were drinking from plastic cups and a few people were floating about on hovering chairs, however he was still fixated with the environment. Everything was clean and shiny and he made out various holograms moving about with images promoting food, games, clothing and a myriad of other things. Before he could make something out, he got his answer from an intercom announcement combined with a few Holograms to illustrate what was going on.
“Welcome Passengers aboard the Starliner Cascadia IV. Informational packets on the Ship and it's Facillities can be aquired from any of a number of Nearby Stewart Kiosks. We hope that you enjoy your stay!” Then music began to play and he figured out who was behind the Fall of Velaria, finally giving a name to the Logo he had seen everywhere around this ship.
