Refining a Concept: "Super Natural Taisen"

I blame to many Super Robot Wars games for this one, and I'm sure I'll slot my way to not doing it eventually, but...I need to refine the character roster. With the basic twist of replacing Super Robots with folks who fight the Supernatural from Evil Dead's Ash to Hellsing's Alucard. And then describe horrendouly over-the-top ownage moments with tandem attacks and so on.

The thing about super Robot Wars games is that they're crossovers on a massive scale, and I need some help in refining it without giving to much of the idea away. There are two main concepts that guide the concept:

1) Those Damn Dirty Nazi's from South America - The main antagonists of the game, for the most part. They're being used, but they play the role of villains for the most part. They tie a lot of protagonists together and eventually bring int he big bad for the inevitable butwhoopin'.

2) Data Life Forms - a funky way of describing beings who treat reality as computer code. It is the aquisition of this that is the main drive of the previously described villains. They aren't evil, but some of them are confused.

With those as a Guideline, I'd like to ask the following questions:

Firstly, I want to know what series would you like to see? I still have a few open slots outside the already chosen that I'd like to fill. Keep in mind that it is set on earth from 2004 until 2005 and the only other requirement is that it have some sort of Supernatural Element in it. Stargate gets a by for plot reasons, but I would not be adverse to using the Doctor...but current plot construction doesn't require his presence. Marvel/DC Comic Book heroes are...a tricky proposition. You can suggest them (and I hope you do), but there's levels of complicated that need to be passed through.

Second problem is choosing a proper POV character for this. I'm wavering between one of the aformentioned Data Life Forms, Col. Jack O'Niel (Stargate SG-1) and Harry Dresden (who, you can imagine, can screw with more primitive Data Life Forms pretty easily).

Confirmed series for this concept are as follows:
1) Angel/Buffy the Vampire Slayer
2) The Dresden Files
3) Evil Dead/Army of Darkness
4) Gargoyles
5) Hellboy
6) Hellsing
7) Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's
8) Mahou Sensei Negima
9) RahXephon
10) Stargate SG-1
11) Godzilla (in an uncommon way)

There are others, but many of them are either WTF, contain surprises that come later in the stories development or would turn people off to the project. Besides, WTF teamups are par for the course in a SRW game, where you can have Ideon and Evangelion alongside Mazingers and Gao Gai Gar.

It looks like you've got some heavy hitters along some not-so-heavy ones. Of course, that's fine since this is based on the Super Robot Wars concept where you'll have Ideon fighting side by side with Boss Borot.

I would say Jack O'Neil (or just about anyone from SG-1) would make a good POV character. He's used to some weird things happening, but will still point out just how freaking weird/strange/terrifying something can be. Usually with a great one-liner too!

RahXephon strikes me as being out of place. Is there a particular reason you can divulge for including it? It seems off what with it being the only giant robot show in your list and especially because of the reality altering abilities of aforementioned robot.

And obscenely powerful team up attacks. Don't forget those!

Actually, there are other super robots featured (5 Others actually). The RahXephon is simply the most plot relevant of them as A) it is now controlled only by the Ixtili--A Data Life Form; B) It's the main target of several of the Nazi's as they want to re-tune the world in their image.

Type-Moon or To Aru Majutsu no Index may also be interesting additions if you're interested.

Or, if I knew of them before you mentioned them. What's weird with this project and the way I intend to handle it, I feel as though I might need to include followup annotations explaining who certain characters are and where they are from.

But as of this moment, I'm taking the Alan Moore rout and going to say "Don't get it? Tough" rout. But damnit, I'm to nice.

Well, remember your viewpoint character. Jack will be fairly ignorant of the things behind various other series' too, so you can introduce the various characters and concepts to the reader through introducing them to him.
