A Novel New Crossover Idea

I've been tossing this idea around in my head ever since I started playing EVE Online almost three years ago. I know, it's pathetic, it took me this long to put it up on a forum. Anyway, here it is:

The Enterprise, while charting new territory, going where no man has ever gone before, flying around shooting big honkin' space guns (which, admittedly, are pretty tiny compared to a lot of other big honkin' space guns), scans what appears to be a tiny unmanned prope of some sort. Upon closer investigation, they discover it's some type of early-warning satellite and that they've discovered an entirely new star system inhabited by a space-faring civilization.

Turns out that that system is on the very edge of New Eden and that it is controlled by a capsuleer alliance. Said alliance is awfully surprised to have picked up something so far out and is naturally reinforcing the system by way of jump-bridge.

Not really sure how I'd want it to play out from there, but hopefully as realistically as possible. And, of course, that'd most likely involve the Enterprise handing over many of its advanced technologies such as improved warp drives and transporters for things like "not getting blown in the face by huge honkin' space guns" and "not being reprocessed into metals (for the ship itself) and proteins (for the crew, hehe, the wonderous possibilities of planet-side factories!). Cause no one wants to be reprocessed into genetically enhanced cattle for consumption by some fat Gallente pig. Anyway, I digress. I think it'd be an awesome crossover, if done well. And fairly cool, even if done poorly. Unless the writer butchers the grammar, in which case I'd reprocess HIM into genetically enhanced cattle and PERSONALLY feed him to some fat Gallente pig.

So anyway, what do people think? Is anyone willing to do it? I will if I have to, but I'd rather just read someone else's hard work.

EDIT: I think it would help out a lot if I linked the most recent political map of New Eden http://dl.eve-files.com/media/corp/verite/20100623.png Note that every dot is an individual solar system and that there are, currently, only two ways to traverse the great distances between systems. 1.) By using stargates that create and sustain wormholes between systems, allowing the distance to be traversed instantaneously. 2.) By using a jump drive that creates a temporary wormhole bridging to points in space. Similar to the Stargates, but without the Stargates themselves. Jump Drives can be carried aboard ships as small as 70m in length. I, in my hurry to edit the comment, forgot to add that alliances can also deploy jump bridges that, I guess, function in a similar way that Transwarp conduits do for the Borg. They allow for alliances to quickly redistribute forces within their own systems, without having to use stargates.

Its certainly original- I don't think I've ever seen this crossover before. I can't really comment much beyond that, not having played EVE Online.

You'll probably have to write it yourself though.

*sigh* There still haven't been any replies. It's looking more and more likely that I'll have to do it myself.
