The friggin writers block monster has gotten me. I've been trying for the past half hour to try and write this battle scene, which was going to be the opening of the second part of this Starcraft fic I was writing on/off. Anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this?

Hm, for a Starcraft story? Why not play some Starcraft. Maybe it'll trigger something.

Eh, my story is almost entirely a new game in itself, so that wouldn't help much. Anyways, the battle scene I want to write has UED marines (which I've essentially recreated) are fighting the Zerg on this planet.

Yeah, but you're writing a battle scene. Wouldn't playing possibly spark an idea?

Nope. Besides, I'm too lazy to find my discs.

For battle scenes, I find music helpful

Do people fall in love? No. Hmm..

Do people sight-see? Nope not that.

Do they fight and kill and maim one another like the vicious beautiful bastards they are? Quite possibly.

Well, what's going on?

Oh you know, about 100 (more or less) Zerglings are rushing at a platoon or UED soldiers as they open fire on them. I have it all planned out, I just can't write it down. >.<
