Prelude to Darkness II

A crowd had gathered around the participants. It was twilight in the metropolis of Decatur. The massive city was an extension to the mighty Huntsville. Those gathered were as diverse as politics. Some were poor, others were middle class, while still others were among the aristocrats. The scene before thier eyes was to enthralling to turn away from. Three combatants were at thier ends after days of fighting.

One was lying on the ground. A female of average height. She wore a dark maroon armor. It was missing it's angled helmet. It allowed her face to be exposed to the public. Her face was dirty and swollen from an intense battle. The cape she normally wore was tattered and barely hung past her shoulders. It's length was matched by her flowing blonde hair. The woman's name was Blade. A holder of an ancient weapon giving her great power. Blade kept herself partly propt on her elbows as she eyed partly her attacker, but also her partner.

Pointed in her face was a long firearm. One of the civil war era. It's golden ornate decorations complemented the wooden handle. It was gripped tightly by a devilish man. He was a male who stood at a towering seven feet. The grin on his face was enough to relay his intensions. With his other hand he gestured for someone, trying to goade them on. Then he looked directly at his rival. A man who he had schooled with. Had undergone military training. Both had even worked together, and fought together. There were no qualms at first. Soon they each went a seperate path. One walked the path of darkness, selling his sould and possibly the fate of the world to evil. The other was a man who walked no lines, and crossed any path that he was presented with. However, he kept rigid in his honour. His honour to his partner to ensure she came out alive.

"Drope your weapon Sparks. Nice and slow." called out the devilish man.
"Don't do this Roach.' Scott Sparks replied to the man. He held his aim steady, the gun pointed directly at Roach Fumo. Sparks had no intention of backing down. It wasn't his nature, he never surrendered. He was not about to start now.

"Sparks. I'm counting to three then I'm pulling the trigger. In front of all these people. What a shame to have to waste this pretty little thing because of your stubborness." Roach smirked thinking he had the upper hand.

"Roach. If you kill her, there's nothing to stop me from taking you down." Sparks was trying not to gun him down.

"One." Roach gripped the handle tight. That was as far as he got.

It was an entire clip. An entire clip of bullets unloaded into the chest and abdomen area of Roach Fumo. By the hand of Scott Sparks. As the first shots rang out the gathered people screamed, panic and stampeded from the area. Sparks was unphased as he continued to pull the trigger. Over and over again. Roach began to slump down, but the continued fire was enough to make him fall backwards. He landed in a thud. A puddle of water splashing from his impact.

Sparks was notorius for gunning down individuals. A vigilante that always over stepped the bounds. This was one time, it was surely justified. He had no way of knowing if Roach was bluffing or not. Besides this needed to end, and quickly. The gun was still smoking and held aimed at the mutilated corpse. Blade managed to pick herself up and stammer over to Sparks. His jacket was gone, his clothing underneath torn to shreds. Even his face mask and sunglasses were gone. He looked like nothing more than a man pushed to far. She reached him and wrapped her arms around his shoulder.

"Come on Sparks. We still have to find Seguidor before she can escape." Blade looked concerned, and determined. Sparks turned to look at her and was actually amased. No lecture about what had just occured. It must have been quite apparent to her now why he was like this.

"Let's get going. This time, we're going to finish it." The both nodded in solemn confidence.

Alright, I'm going to start doing this way it always was. No plans, no map, just writing as it comes. This opener is confusing. But, if it gets good responses, then I'll add more to it. The only plan is that before they go after this 'Seguidor' we're going to go back in time and relive the events up to this moment. Stay tuned for the next installment of 'Prelude to Darkness II'. Woo, I hope this doesn't suck folks.
