Bizarre Cross-overs.

Post by Mr. Mister »

I'm trying to think of what some completely mind-boggling cross-overs would be. A friend of mine said he was going to write a cross-over between Highlander: the Series and Shojo Kakumei Utena the anime, because he thought it was a totally random combination. I pointed out that there's a very obvious link: they're both about people with swords, and Utena and Duncan have some similarities in their situations. So, of course he's cancelled that idea, and I'm trying to help him think of a cross-over that's just totally off-the-wall. Any suggestions?

The Bajoran Incident, or Dexter's Empire. Both written by yours truely.

Of course, they don't touch seriousness with a 10i -foot pole.

I once saw a fanfic where Scooby met the B5 team.

Some ideas of mine:

ReBoot meets Fraiser

Fraiser meets Quantum Leap

Quantam Leap meets Friends

Friends meets Seven Days

Seven Days meets StarCraft

StarCraft meets Survivor

I'm not going to go any further than that.

I have seen a fic which has burned a terrible hole in my mind. The crossovers are far too horrid to be mentioned here, at least not without their dilution through MiSTing.

To my knowledge, no MiSTer has ever tackled a full MiSTing of the fic without losing their minds or objectivity. Such is the power of the fic, that even the gentlest of souls can be transformed into napalm weilding flamefallen, or at the very least a soapbox-propped evangelist.

What's the name? I don't want a link or anything, just the name so I can search.

I've handled bad before, anyway. I've read Portal, and dredged through some of the garbage on alt.startrek.creative...

Uh-huh. Well, so far it doesn't seem as bad as some of PJ's lemons from alt.sex.stories. (Imagine the characters from the YJK series... well, actually, don't.)

I actually wrote a few chapters of a "Legend of Zelda" and "Terminator" crosssover.

The premise was that after the War with the Machines, humans were desperate for resources, and found a gateway to a future Hyrule, and invaded it. They were beaten by a descendant of Link and Zelda, and used salvaged Skynet technology(and tactics) they sent a Terminator back in time to kill them. But a young female Marine was sent back to warn them.

It was odd, even for me.

I've heard of him...and of his works. We'll not discuss it further.

Gonterman though...it's not as outright disgusting as PJ...it's somewhat subtler. You might miss some of it if you're not paying close attention.

A Crossover Too Far.

Indiana Jones,
X-Files,
Blues Brothers,
Men In Black,
Star Wars,
Star Trek,
Cowboy Bebop,
Three Kings,
Apocalypse Now,
Bridge Over the River Kwai,
Predator,
Star Lancer,
Matrix,
Priscilla Queen of the Desert,
many earth religions,

erm, I think there's more but damned if I can remember them, and I'm only just getting the story started.

I haven't even introduced "Vampire Count Saruman von Dooku", our nice shiny enemy for the story.
