Very nice. Great foreshadowing. I like the subtleness with which you reveal what Pash seems to be (or am I wrong?).

Correction: I thought you were foreshadowing a later revelation, that Pash was either 1. a genetically-modified clone or 2. artificially conceived.

No, just the reason he doesn't get along with his father is because of what happened to his mother.

I realized that at the end of the story, but I was just thinking about how Airen said that Pash was "like a clone of her" and she replied "that he is".
