"I found something you'll never understand, Tanro." He wanted to shout but it came out more like a cough. He slowly lifted his blaster and pointed it at the Walker. Tanro's face darkened.

His stories are chock full of great lines but I can't remember any of them.

I loved it so much I read it to someone else...
“You have passed the trials, your anger fuels your might like a furnace. Rage is your sword, shadow your shield. None can touch you now as you leave behind all remnants of what you were. Step out of the light and into the darkness my young apprentice. Embrace the Sith Name bestowed upon you and embrace the darkness that is at the heart of our power, ever shall it comfort and fuel you, quick to join you in battle and victory shall be brought to you on its knees for you to seize for you are the master and not the slave of the light. Rise Darth Nemesis and leave the name of Skywalker behind you as you leave the weak mewling of the treacherous
light.”

From a Lord of the Rings fic:
Premise: After thousands of years in Valinor, the elves start to slowly venture into modern day Earth.
The first three are Legolas, Elladan and Elrohitr. They know to cover their ears so as not to attract attention. Legolas discovers a delightful intoxicating beverage that turns out to be Coke, and as he drinks a bottle, his ears are revealed.
Woman: "Oh my god, you're Vulcans!"

Her writing style is a little jokier than Tolkien's, but she knows when to get serious, and she has actually read the books and the Silmarillion.

I cannot specify a line or quote that I'm particularily fond of. But this would qualify as one of the best parts of a Fanfic I've read:
Two borg drones dragged an Imperial along a corridor on board one of the cubes. He looked quite like any other officer actually, nothing very special. And yet the borg had singled him out, dragging him through this nightmare as he listened to the sound of his men screaming. His lean face was sallow, and the mole on his left cheek stood out prominently. Finally, he was brought to a halt, somewhere on a walkway. He looked up and could see thousands of borg. Then he heard, again, that terrible voice.
"You have the highest position in your primitive heirarchy. You are known to the Empire. You will be our voice to them."
The man wet his lips and looked back in defiance. "I will do nothing to assist you while my men are being butchered below decks!"
"They are being equipped to service the borg," the collective declared, completely devoid of emotion. No anger, no resentment, no justification, no pleasure, just a simple, declarative statement. "You too will service the borg."
"Let my men go free," he called to them, "and I'll assist you voluntarily."
"Voluntary is irrelevent. You will comply."
"Never!" he snarled. "Release my men, or I will not help you!"
"Your threats are irrelevent. You will service the borg."
His voice dropped to a low pitch. "Never!" he almost whispered. Suddenly, he threw his upperbody weight into the borg on his immediate left, then struck out with his leg to kick the one to his right. It was only temporary, a moment that they were off balance. But it was all he needed.
He reached out, grabbed the railing, and jumped, swinging his legs over the side, and plummeting. He tried not to scream during his twelve second fall, comforting himself with knowing that he was denying the borg. His last act of defiance. He would never, ever, assist the borg. Nevertheless, a few screams did leave his mouth as the ragged bottom of the room rushed at him, and his body hit with a sickening thud.
Suddenly his eyes opened. He was on a table, and borg surrounded him. They had replaced his left arm already with some cybernetic device. He couldn't move, and watched with horror as they continued to alter his body. No, he thought, I couldn't have survived that. I was dead!
Suddenly, a voice chilled him to the bone, that haunting voice, only he wasn't hearing it, it was being sent directly into his head.
"Death is irrelevent. Resistance is futile."

Best fanfic crossover between Star Trek and Star Wars I've read yet IMO.

If you like Star Wars or Star Trek, it is definitely worth a read. It treats both sides really well IMO. Needless to say, a single ISD does not slaughter thousands of Borg cubes without even going to alert status, but nevertheless, Star Wars generally kicks ass anyhow.Grand Admiral Thrawn wrote:Worlds Without End? Oh. My. God. You guys have never heard of Worlds Without End? It spawned a saga that continued for well over two megabytes of text -- bigger than StarCrossed.
Worlds Without End, Shadows of the Night, Against All Odds, and Paradise Lost.
It's all available on the ASVS Fanfic Archive, under Chuck Sonnenburg fics.
