After accidentally watching Jesus Christ Superstar (from the first set of flares to the last, I couldn't look away) I've suddenly realised the similarities between the characters of Jesus and Optimus Prime. A friend and I have decided to rewrite the story of the cruicifixtion, replacing all the main characters and events with those of the Book of Furman. I was wondering if any TF fans could suggest particular character/event substitutions, because we'll be leaving biblical events out if we can't fit them into the overall Unicronness of it all.

Optimus Prime, Primus and Unicron are all easily subbed, and Grimlock may end up being Peter. Prime/Matix/Primus are of course destroyed to save the universe from Unicron, and Prime is later resurrected (again). There's the fall of the Matrix to fit in, Primes quest for brotherhood between all Transformers, the betrayal of Unicron by Galvatron and Scorponok by Shockwave, Emirate Xarron as 'high priest', etc. Further ideas appreciated, I've never done anything like this before

Hmm... what about a Weirdest Crossover category at next year's GSDAs?

Okay, here's what I've got so far (work has taken up alot of my time)

jewish ruling council corrupted by power = matrix corrupted by power
jesus causes unrest by challenging traditional values = prime attempts to create brotherhood by surrendering to the decepticons
judas leading the romans to christ = shockwave et al attacking scorponok's base
jesus crucified = prime sacrificing himself
jesus denying god = prime destroying primus to kill unicron
peter denied christ = grimlock refuses to take over
jesus ressurected = hi-q being rebuilt by primus

I need a parallel to the table-overturning thing in TF... and I guess I should dig out a bible instead of relying on my memory!

I'm thinking of something along the lines of a 'jesus heals the sick' parallel to the nucleon thing. Prime didn't really do anything miraculous, tho ...
