I'm writing a sci-fi fic for the forum, but I'm stuck on a title.
Without any info on the story whatsoever, what do you think is the coolest title?

Shit!
MOD!
'Imperial Dreams' should be a poll option.

Cyril, I always have problems with titles. I usually go with something in the story that is imperative. That gives me inspiration for a title. So in other words, I can't answer without knowing the story. Sorry!

Same here. Look, without knowing the story, we can't guess at an appropriate title.

All the titles are appropriate in one form or another. I just want to know which one sounds the best.

Why not use a working title, then after you've finished the story, just rename it with something witty or appropriate, such as if you want to write a story about a footsoldier killing an Emperor, you might try "The Humble Soldier Kills The King " or " Death comes in Mysterious Ways"
Okay, so these two were crap. But you get the idea.

Ditto this. I have changed the title of my "fic" (GO READ IT!!!) about three times, now.

I have a 4-way crossover fanfic in the works that goes by the name of "Dark Darkness of the Dark Restroom of Darkitude" (DDOTDROD)
As you might expect, I don't have much of a social life either.

To be frank, without knowing what the story is about, we really can't tell you.
"Imperial Dreams" is the best-sounding of the lot, though. The other four are either too long or pack almost no punch, to be honest.
By the way, you can edit your posts and you should be able to change your polling options.

I do personally like Of Blood and War, But the next one down comes close in second.

"Of Blood and War" sounds okay, but there's something about it that just doesn't sit well with me. Is the story only about blood and war? There are characters in it, after all. It's not an eye-catching title. It doesn't elicit any kind of interest. It sounds more like a sociology article with a story to it.

For example, the fic I posted here -- Star Wars: Whispers of the Sith -- is enticing-sounding. It makes you wonder, or at least that's what it's designed to do. Although, from the title, you'd never guess that it's a Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Star Wars crossover. I may have to change the title (consider the current one a working title), but I really do like it a lot...

Well, anyway, I fixed it.
