This is the first time i posted in this thread but have any of you had dreams that had such good Themes, visuals, feeling etc etc that you turned them into a story?

None of my dreams make any goddamn sense.

Although I could turn a couple into pornos if I so desired....

A few dreams have definately had influences on my stories, mostly for atmosphere or scenes that just stand out. Dreams are so FULL of symbolism that its easy to use them as a basis for a story.

None stand out right now but one I remember vividly where a deep voice warned me not to go to the Iron Keep and a huge castle built onto a mountain loomed over me and right away when I woke up I knew that this was the fortress of the villain in my fantasy tale that I was writing.

Me thinks this belongs in a different forum.


One time that I had a dream that I was a fighter pilot in some kind of elite superiority squadron, a psychic squadron I believe.

Strange thing is, the following people were among my squadmates:


Asuka from Evangelion
Hikari from Evangelion
Barbarian from Diablo 2

Not so much dreams as random thoughs. Literally anything can inspire me to write something. For example, my fic that's out there ow got started by me watching a cat try ti crawl up a screen window. It's the same for poems (which I dare not post here...yet...): I will see a leaf fall and write a poem that is completely unrelated...happy, depressing, angry...whatever.

The only reason i bring this up in fanfics thread is that i just had a wicked dream last night that inspired me to write a story. I was just wondering if it happened to anyone else

It happens; if I had dreams, I would probably write stories about them. Supernatural experiences seem to make up , tho. I wish I had real dreams, more...

I don't get a lot of dreams. Though I had a very freaky one where I was running naked through the streets trying to get home, and I was dodging girls and other people and stuff. After getting to the base of my apartment block I had to do a lot of Hitman-style sneaking and waiting before finally getting home.
